In 1936, Walker Evans photographed a family of sharecroppers in Depression era in Alabama. In 1979, Sherrie Levine reshot Walker Evans's images for the exhibition catalog "First and Last". In 2001, Michael Mandiberg scanned these same photographs, and created AfterWalkerEvans.com and AfterSherrieLevine.com, which publishes these works and discusses issues on the authoring and reproduction. Users can print images in full size, with good resolution and also a certificate of authenticity. The artist shows as we come to know information in the expanding digital era. Works well on PC, mobile and tablet.
